SPACE
AND VENUE
Super Mario is intended for a box-like (at
least 5m*5m) theatre with three screens on its three walls and a blue curtain
on its forth wall. All the three screens should be at least 3m*3m and require a
projector for each of them. The curtain also should be at least 3m*3m. All the
seats are circled in the middle of the box and directly face the three different
screens. The Stage should be in front of the curtain and close to the side of
the forth wall and no smaller than 3m*1m.
SCENIC
ELEMENTS
(1) 3 screens, at least 3m*3m for each, on the three sides of the
theater.
(2) 3 separate computers, each of them connects to a separate projector
and each of them needs to run MAX/MSP.
(3) 3 separate voice boxes set up close to each screen, each of them connects
to a separate computer.
(4) 2 lights in front of the blue curtain to make the curtain bright.
(5) 3 digital cameras to shoot the stage, each on them uses for a
computer.
POWER
Super Mario requires clean, separate power
for computers, projectors, boxes and lights. Priority should be given to
ensuring that all video is powered using the same phase. Presenter will provide
power conditioners if there are electrical issues in the venue.
DRESSING
ROOM
Super Mario consists of 1 male performer
and 3 technical staff members, so it just needs one dressing room. The room
should be lit, clean, heated/air conditioned, with running hot/cold water,
mirrors and chair for performer.
HOSPITALITY
The presenter will provide bottled drinking
water, juices for both performer and technical (4 people total) for the entire
performance.
